Last LEBTA Board meeting: 30 May 2011.  Quick summary of the last meeting:  Discount vouchers for Historic Car Rally, future sponsorship by LEBTA, financial management of LEBTA events, A3 promotional town map, Committee for Gippsland presentation, Skyshow update, Cunningham Quay and Eastern Wharf, New LEBTA member – Coastal Gifts, Insurance quotes, EGSC Events Co-ordinator, East Gippsland Business Awards….  Draft minutes are available.

Next EGRBTA meeting: Wednesday 22 June at Bairnsdale .  Presentation by Stephen Kleinitz, Events Officer EGSC.  Agenda items to Tim Ellis. Minutes from previous meeting (25 May) are available.

Township A3 Map: Shane Kidd is producing a A3 promotional map for Lakes Entrance.  20,000 copies are planned.  Advertising space is available.  Contact Shane.

Lakes Entrance VIC:  New manager is Glen Greer.  Glen grew up in Lakes Entrance, has an Economics degree, travelled extensively and recently worked at Funkey Monkey Bakery Cafe.

VIC Annual Fees: Due to the review process of VICs in the Shire, annual fees have been deferred til August.

Business Survey:  East Gippsland TAFE are contacting Lakes Entrance businesses to see if there is support to run various business courses at the SEAMEC Centre.  Possible training includes Cert 3 and Cert 4 Business Courses and short (one or two day) courses including leadership, running meetings, social media and tender writing.  More information: Rebecca Woodland 5150 4227.

Social Media Presentation.  For those who missed the Lakes Entrance presentation, it will presented again in early August in Bairnsdale, Paynesville and Metung.  Contact Tim Ellis.

Committee for Gippsland: Mary Aldred, EO will give a presentation and answer questions on Thursday July 14 at 7.15AM.  Contact: Paullette.

Coast Action CoastCare Coastline e-magazine is available 4 times a year.  It has many interesting items about projects and events along the Victorian Coastline : Contact DSE.

Victoria Tourism Industry Council is running an on-line survey on the Tourism Industry and events.   More information: info@vtic.com.au

North Arm Boat ramp:  The project is nearly complete including new ramps, toilets and  launching jetties.

Dolphins: Over the last week, many dolphins have been seen in Cunningham Arm and North Arm.

Discount Vouchers:  LEBTA are preparing a general discount vouchure sheet to be distributed in show bags for events such as the Historic Car Rally.  An A3 colored sheet will contain approx 20 vouchures.  Details and expiry date to be set by business.  Cost to advertise = $55.  More details: Paullette.

Business Seminars: A series of 6 seminars will held on “How and Why of  Business Success”.  These monthly seminars will be held in Bairnsdale.   Further information: East Vic Media 5150 2343.

Climate Change Presentation:  TV presenter Rob Gell will speak at Forestech on Tuesday 7 June; 6pm.  Further information: scott.ferraro@epa.vic.gov.au

VIC review:  Consultants are meeting with LEBTA-EGRBTA members Jan Davis and Peter Johnstone on Thursday 9 June.
