Last LEBTA meeting was dedicated to looking at the role, purpose and future of the association. A range of topics were discussed including a Business Survey and Lakes Entrance promotional booklet-brochure. Various Board members hope to visit most businesses in Lakes Entrance to survey business owners or managers on the role of LEBTA. Notes from this meeting are available from Russell Chester.

OMEO BTA: Have produced a new A3 brochure map.
Indian Resturant: New Indian Resturant has opened in Myers Street. This increases the dining options for residents and visitors to Lakes Entrance.
Fraser Island: The new owner-managers for Fraser Island Retreat are Glen and Margaret MacKay. 5156 3256.

EGRBTA are negioating with several sponsors to run an East Gippsland Business Awards with several catagories. Further details: Tim Ellis.
Gippsland Ports are currently installing electronic gates on Eastern Wharf to limit public access thus make a safer work environment for commercial vessels. More information: Gippsland Ports.
